Day 3: Seek His Will

1 John 5:13-15  “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.”

Understanding how to pray according to God's Will includes: 1) entrusting ourselves to God's loving authority; 2) focusing on God's priorities; and 3) listening to God's Spirit. We must learn to humbly recognize and submit to God’s reign and His will presenting ourselves to Him, eager to live out His purposes. Our prayers should align with God’s purposes and all God cares about including developing our character, sharing His love with others and becoming more attuned to hear Him through His Word. As we pray together with other Christians' and experience the Holy Spirit's leading, we can better understand where God is leading us in our lives. 

We learn God’s will through God’s Word, so we grow more and more in our relationship with the Lord everyday through the reading and meditating on His Word which is the key to praying God’s will! Ask Him to reveal it to you, ask Him to align His heart with yours through the Holy Spirit and He will do it!

PRAYER: Jesus, I thank You so much for the privilege of being able to be a part of Your work here on earth! Thank you for opening my eyes to the truth that You are the Savior King and Your ways and Your will are better than anything than I could dream on my own. I pray that You will renew my mind more and more and will direct my life according to Your will for Your glory alone. In Jesus’ name, AMEN
